Young cadres nationwide start learning English knowledge and skills

On the morning of May 16, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the opening ceremony of the 7th English Olympic Competition for young cadres in 2025.

Targeting candidates who are union officials, young civil servants, public employees, business people, and armed forces from 18-35 years old, this year's contest has some new points such as: the competition tables are re-divided, and the contestants are expanded; additional questions and competition topics are integrated from round 2 onwards; and a number of sideline activities are implemented throughout the contest journey...

Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam delivered the opening speech of the contest.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, 60 contestants from all 3 groups including union officials, civil servants, businessmen and armed forces youth, along with independent contestants from all over the country, immediately entered the competition. The 6 best contestants among them received valuable prizes from the Organizing Committee of the competition.

On this occasion, a discussion took place on “Vietnamese Youth Officials stepping into the thriving era together with English”.

With the participation of prestigious speakers, the seminar focused on clarifying current trends and effective ways to learn English; opportunities to study, improve foreign languages, and international integration skills for union members and young people; experiences and lessons learned from participating in the contest...

Representatives of the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to outstanding contestants in the response competition after the ceremony.

It is known that the outstanding contestants of the contest will receive not only cash prizes and certificates of merit from the Central Youth Union, but also online English courses and the opportunity to participate in international youth activities organized by the Central Youth Union in the near future.
