On the afternoon of May 16, Vinh Long University of Technical Education (VLUTE) held a workshop on "Training human resources for the semiconductor industry and some core technology industries at universities".
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Principal of Vinh Long University of Technical Education, said that the school is implementing a number of projects to develop specialized training programs on microchips and related fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, microchip design, and automatic control.

Vinh Long University of Technical Education is also constructing a 9-storey scientific research and technology transfer center. When completed, it will create a professional working and in-depth research space for scientists, experts, lecturers and students.
At the workshop, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Semiconductor Technology Association emphasized the key role of two core technologies, semiconductor and artificial intelligence, in global development. Vietnam is facing a great opportunity to participate deeply in the technology value chain, thanks to its advantages in human resources and strong support policies.
At the workshop, businesses also informed about the importance of connecting the state, schools, and businesses in training human resources, researching and transferring new technologies in the semiconductor and supporting industries. At the same time, cooperate to send students to do internships at businesses to promptly grasp development trends and apply professional knowledge in practice.

On the side of Vinh Long University of Technical Education, the major of microchip design is included in the training program of electrical and electronic engineering technology. The school has invested synchronously and focused on specialized practice rooms such as: Pulse-digital engineering practice room; Microchip design practice room; Sensor laboratory; Microprocessor laboratory...
