Border Guard forces arrested TNT suspect, along with evidence including 38 bricks of drugs.
On the morning of May 16, Colonel Tran Tien Hien, Commander of the Border Guard of Quang Nam province, said that the unit had just arrested a subject transporting 38 bricks of drugs from Laos to Vietnam.
According to Colonel Tran Tien Hien, at 9:30 a.m. on May 10, in La De commune, Nam Giang district, the Border Guard's crime-fighting force, including the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, coordinated with the Nam Giang International Border Guard Station, the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force under the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Border Guard, and Nam Giang International Border Gate Customs to arrest TNT, a Vietnamese national who was illegally transporting drugs from Sekong province (Laos) to Vietnam. The seized evidence included 38 drug cakes (total weight of 14.3 kg) and 1 car.

Colonel Tran Tien Hien added that, implementing the direction of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Border Guard Command, the Border Guard Command of Quang Nam province has established a project to deploy forces to grasp the situation on the border, deploy professional measures, research and identify the subjects and methods of concealing and transporting drugs from Sekong province into Vietnam. The arrest process ensures absolute safety of people, weapons and equipment.
Currently, the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard is continuing to expand the investigation and complete the prosecution file in accordance with the provisions of law.
