The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee will organize a journey back to the source for Ho Chi Minh City artists in 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

Journey of love and responsibility

As planned, the journey back to the source will take place in 4 days, from May 27 to 30, in Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Binh Phuoc provinces.

Participating in the journey to the source Following the footsteps of the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975 were about 115 delegates including: veteran artists who participated in the General Offensive and Uprising in the spring of 1975;

Outstanding artists of the city's literary and artistic associations, art units under the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City; artists with many contributions to promoting and preserving national art and traditional culture;

Artists are exemplary citizens, young artists actively participate in social work, serve the community; artists win awards and are active in promoting literary and artistic works on the theme of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

They are artists Le Thien, Ta Minh Tam, My Uyen, Tuyet Thu, Trong Phuc, Phuong Loan, Huynh Loi, Le Hong Tham, Dien Trung, Pham The Vi, Anh Bang, Nguyen Phi Hung, Quoc Dai, Duong Quoc Hung, Duong Ngoc Ha, Doan Dai Hoa, Nguyen Duyen Quynh, Thien Phu, designer Viet Hung, musician Nhat Sinh, Nguyen Quang Vinh, Le Anh Tu, Mai Tram, MC Quynh Hoa...

Visit historical sites, salute the flag at the flagpole of Bo Y border gate

The organizers said the journey back to the source will stop at many historical sites, sites that record the glorious feats of our ancestors.

Arriving in Kon Tum, the delegation learned about the Dak To - Tan Canh victory, Phuong Hoang airport; performed the flag-raising ceremony at the Bo Y border gate flagpole; presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, compatriots and families of soldiers in difficult circumstances...

In Gia Lai province, the delegation will offer incense at the provincial martyrs cemetery; visit Dai Doan Ket square, burn incense at Uncle Ho's temple;

Organize a cultural program to show gratitude and give gifts to 100 policy families, people in difficult circumstances, poor but studious students, and families of officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances.

After that, the delegation moved to Dak Lak, visited and learned about the relics: Buon Ma Thuot Prison, the provincial museum, and viewed the Buon Ma Thuot victory model, the key battle that led to the victory of the General Offensive on April 30, 1975.

Arriving in Binh Phuoc, the delegation will visit Ta Thiet revolutionary base, which is the base of the Military Commission - Command of the armed forces of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam.

On the afternoon of May 26, the delegation will offer incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum branch in Ho Chi Minh City.

After that, the delegation went to Thong Nhat Hall to visit and listen to the explanation about the General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1975.
