The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical and political events of the country and the capital in 2025 in the city.

Accordingly, to celebrate the New Year 2025, Hanoi will organize a New Year 2025 event (Countdown) on the evening of December 31 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and August Revolution Square.

On the occasion of New Year's Eve, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 5 points (6 locations) in Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem districts, Son Tay town, Dong Anh district from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025.

In addition, to celebrate the Lunar New Year, Hanoi will also organize an international light festival in Tay Ho district, scheduled at 8:00 p.m. on January 18; the program "Brilliant Thang Long 2025" at the stage area in front of My Dinh National Stadium and the F1 racetrack area, scheduled from 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on January 28, 2025.

During the Lunar New Year, Hanoi will also organize fireworks displays at 30 locations (31 sites), including 9 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays (10 sites), 21 low-altitude fireworks displays in 30 districts and towns from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (the first day of Tet).

The Hanoi People's Committee has also issued a plan to give gifts to policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, with 1.1 million gifts, totaling 567 billion VND.
