Hanoi recognizes 14 craft villages

The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a decision to recognize 3 Hanoi craft villages and 11 traditional Hanoi craft villages.

Among them, 3 villages have achieved the title of "Hanoi Craft Village", including: Bamboo and rattan weaving village, village 3, Van Phuc commune, Thanh Tri district; Trieu Xuyen carpentry village, Long Xuyen commune, Phuc Tho district; Tao village tailoring village, Tam Thuan commune, Phuc Tho district.

There are 11 villages that have achieved the title of "Traditional Craft Village of Hanoi", including: Peach and ornamental tree growing village in Dong Thai village, Van Tao commune, Thuong Tin district; mother-of-pearl inlay village in Trung village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; mother-of-pearl inlay village in Ngo village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; inlay material processing village and mother-of-pearl inlay village in Thuong village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; mother-of-pearl inlay village in Ha village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; mother-of-pearl inlay - lacquer craft village in Boi Khe village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; fine art wooden furniture production village - mother-of-pearl inlay village in Dong Vinh village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; lacquer inlay village in My Van village, Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district; bamboo and rattan weaving craft village in Luu Thuong village, Phu Tuc commune, Phu Xuyen district; civil carpentry village in Chanh Thon village, Nam Tien commune, Phu Xuyen district; Thanh Tri rice paper roll craft village in Thanh Tri ward, Hoang Mai district.

Each village recognized as a “Traditional Craft Village of Hanoi” was awarded a Certificate of Recognition of the title “Traditional Craft Village of Hanoi” by the City People’s Committee and supported with 12 million VND. Each village recognized as a “Traditional Craft Village of Hanoi” was awarded a Certificate of Recognition of the title “Traditional Craft Village of Hanoi” by the City People’s Committee and supported with 6 million VND.

Hanoi currently has 806 craft villages and villages with crafts. By the end of 2022, Hanoi had 321/806 villages recognized by the city as craft villages and traditional craft villages with 6/7 craft groups nationwide, including 48 traditional craft villages and 273 craft villages.
