Hanoi promotes international cooperation in education

On September 30, at the Education Management Seminar between the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the South Australian Department of Education and Training held in Hanoi, managers and representatives of schools from both sides shared and discussed education policies and strategic directions in the new context, especially the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in schools, smart device management and the development of digital skills and soft skills for students.

In particular, Hanoi is honored to have a close cooperative relationship with the South Australian Education sector for nearly two decades, starting from meaningful professional seminars in 2007. This is one of the successful examples, continuously cultivated and bringing many impressive results, creating a solid foundation for more extensive cooperation activities today.

"With a history of more than 70 years of formation and development, the Capital's Education and Training sector has affirmed its role and stature with nearly 3,000 schools and more than 2.3 million students. In addition, the city has 29 vocational education - continuing education centers, 352 vocational education establishments. This diversity shows that Hanoi not only focuses on general education but also strongly develops vocational education, ensuring to meet the human resource needs of many different fields and professions," Mr. Tran The Cuong informed.

In terms of quality, the capital's education is constantly developing. Hanoi students have continuously affirmed their leading position in domestic and international intellectual arenas with hundreds of national awards and medals at prestigious Olympic and science and technology competitions in the world in recent years. In particular, in the 2024-2025 school year, the capital's students continue to affirm their leading position with 200 awards at the national excellent student competition, 14 medals, international awards...

In particular, Hanoi is honored to be chosen as the host of the 19th International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad in 2026. This is a testament to the prestige and capacity of the Capital to organize international educational events.
