Hanoi requests people not to fly kites, flying toys, burn and release sky lanterns, or use illegal flycams that affect flight operations during the National Day on September 2.

Hanoi People's Committee said that in recent days, in the city, there have been many activities of releasing flying objects (balloons, sky lanterns, flying toys, etc.) and using flycams illegally, affecting the work of ensuring security and safety of flight operations of the Air Force in flight training.

From now until September 2, the Air Defense - Air Force continues to organize training flights and participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

To ensure security and safety of flight operations, the Hanoi People's Committee requests relevant departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of communes and wards to disseminate information on the management of unmanned aircraft and ultralight aircraft; and regulations prohibiting the production, import, storage, transportation, trading, burning, and releasing of "sky lanterns".

Hanoi police are assigned to increase patrols and controls, promptly detect, prevent, and coordinate to strictly handle activities of buying, selling, flying kites, balloons, flying toys, burning and releasing sky lanterns... affecting the flight operations of the Air Defense - Air Force.

Hanoi assigned the Capital Command to direct the Regional Defense Commands to notify agencies, organizations and individuals to temporarily suspend the operation of unmanned aircraft and other flying vehicles licensed by the Operations Department/General Staff.

At the same time, coordinate with functional units to suppress violating UAVs, seize and handle violations according to the provisions of law, at the request of the Hanoi People's Committee.

On the morning of September 2, the military parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day will take place at Ba Dinh Square and several central streets from 6:30 a.m.

The Organizing Committee will have a rehearsal at 6:30 a.m. on August 30.
