On the eve of the National Day celebration on September 2, Hanoi was red with flags all over the streets. The atmosphere of excitement awaiting the 80th anniversary of National Day was bustling everywhere, perhaps the place where the joy was felt most clearly in Hanoi was Ba Dinh Square, the Old Quarter and the National Military Training Center No. 4 - the training ground where the parades and marches were held.
Tourists flock to Ba Dinh Square before the grand ceremony
For about a month now, Ba Dinh Square has been crowded from early morning to late at night. People and tourists from all over come here to pay their respects to Uncle Ho and capture moments before the big holiday.
In the square, the 30,000-seat grandstand is gradually being completed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. Small flower pots along the road are being replaced with new ones.
Hanoi streets are bright red with the colors of the national flag.
In the small alley on Ngoc Ha street, the red star flag is shining brightly. The national flags mixed with the Party flags are hung along the alley, making the already bustling small alley even more radiant.
Red flags with yellow stars fill the streets of Hang Cot
On Hang Ma, Hang Cot, and Hang Luoc streets, red flags with yellow stars filled the streets, big and small flags intertwined.
Tourists from everywhere flock to admire the street in its new colors, to immerse themselves in the bustling atmosphere of the capital these days.
Foreign tourists are also attracted by the red flag with yellow star shirt.
Many items printed with the red flag with yellow star, from conical hats, T-shirts, hair clips, scarves to decorations... are sold by small traders.

Ms. Nham's family enjoys the atmosphere of Hanoi together before the grand ceremony
Taking advantage of the weekend, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nham's family (Bo De ward, Hanoi) went to Hang Ma street with a small camera.
"In the atmosphere of excitement across the country, once every 80 years, I also want to save these memorable moments with my children so that we can look back on them later.
My family has planned to watch the parade on the first and final rehearsal days. On the main day, we will watch on the small screen to make room for tourists to the capital," Ms. Nham shared.
