Hanoi organizes fireworks displays at 5 locations on New Year's Eve

(CLO) According to plan, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 5 locations on the occasion of New Year 2025 and 30 locations on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025.

The Party Committee of the Hanoi People's Committee has just reported on the implementation of the plan to organize activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical and political events of the country and the capital in 2025 in the city.

Accordingly, the activities to celebrate the New Year 2025 include: New Year 2025 event (Countdown) on the evening of December 31 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and Cach Mang Thang Tam Square; fireworks display at 5 locations (6 locations) in Hoan Kiem district, Ha Dong district, Nam Tu Liem district, Son Tay town, Dong Anh district from 0:00 - 0:15 on January 1, 2025.

For the activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, including: Hanoi International Light Festival held in Tay Ho district scheduled at 20:00 on January 18, 2024; The Brilliant Thang Long 2025 program at the stage area in front of My Dinh Stadium and the F1 racetrack area scheduled from 21:00 - 23:59 on January 28, 2025.

Hanoi also plans to organize fireworks displays at 30 locations (31 sites), including 9 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays (10 sites), 21 low-altitude fireworks displays in 30 districts and towns from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 29, 2025 (the first day of the Lunar New Year).

The Hanoi People's Committee also assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to organize many cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the New Year.

Regarding visual decoration and lighting, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has issued plans to organize information, decoration, propaganda and visual promotion to welcome the New Year 2025 (New Year's Day); to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and celebrate the Lunar New Year of At Ty according to the principle of 50% traditional methods and 50% modern methods.

The time for decoration, propaganda, and visual agitation to welcome the New Year 2025 is from December 18, 2024 to January 10, 2025; the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding and the Lunar New Year celebration is from January 15 to February 8, 2025.
