On August 24, in Hanoi , the Youth Media Center coordinated with relevant units to organize the award ceremony of the film making contest Through the lens of children - Kid Witness News.

Kid Witness News is a completely free contest for students aged 10-18. In its 17th edition, the contest received hundreds of scripts from students from many provinces and cities across the country, continuing to affirm itself as one of the most anticipated activities for parents and students this summer.
After the selection round, 80 “child filmmakers” with potential scripts were qualified to participate in the filmmaking course, where they were guided by professional directors and actors from script writing, acting, filming to post-production and finishing the work.
In addition, the students also participated in field trips to practice filming outdoors and visit professional studios. From here, their creative lens has created 16 outstanding films, conveying many meaningful messages about life and society such as environmental protection, family affection, friendship, etc.
Through selection, two films that won First Prize will represent Vietnam to compete with candidates from all over the world at the Kid Witness News Global Summit.

Specifically, the Uno Media group from Cau Giay Secondary School with the documentary “Where Life Rebirths” won first prize in the 10-12 year old group. The work talks about recycling discarded fabric scraps to create artistic paintings, while also creating jobs for people with disabilities.
In the 13 - 18 age group, the first prize went to the film "Thuong" by the VooDoo group from Archimedes Dong Anh Inter-level School, with a story about the disagreement between a girl with a strong personality and a passion for music and her mother.
The films are broadcast in the program "Young Life" on VTC6 TV channel./.
