Squadron 21 successfully organized the 2025 Basic Water Sports Festival

(NLDO) - Participating in the sports festival are 4 teams with 54 officers and soldiers from the ship block belonging to the units in the Navy.

On May 7 and 8, Squadron 21, Coast Guard Region 2 Command organized the 2025 Basic Watercraft Sports Festival, aiming to improve the professional qualifications and skills of officers and soldiers of the ship and boat block to skillfully operate basic watercraft contents, apply them in the training process and perform tasks.

There are 4 teams with 54 officers and soldiers from the ships belonging to the units in the Navy participating.

Candidates practice the contest content

The teams completed four sports events, including: basic watercraft theory; practice of circling and tying ropes; throwing bait ropes, making mooring ropes; spreading and collecting water cannons.

To complete the contents, the teams did a good job of preparing, actively reviewing theory and practice; participating in the sports festival with a high sense of responsibility and determination, striving to achieve the best results in each content.

At the end of the sports festival, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to Ship CSB 4033, Squadron 212; the second prize to Ship CSB 8002; the third prize to 2 Ships CSB 4037, Ship CSB 6001 and 8 individual prizes in the contents.

The Commander of Squadron 21, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, presented awards to groups and individuals with high achievements.

In his closing speech at the sports festival, Colonel Tran Le Trang, Commander of the 21st Fleet, commended and congratulated the units for achieving high results in the sports festival and requested that in the coming time, agencies and units continue to promote and improve the quality and effectiveness of training, practice, qualifications and skills for officers and soldiers in basic watercraft work in the ship and boat sector; strictly maintain the training regime and order; proactively develop additional training plans and immediately overcome the missing and weak contents after the sports festival to ensure the quality of task performance and handle situations well according to assigned responsibilities, meeting the requirements of the unit's tasks in the current situation.
