Hai Duong receives nearly 20 billion VND in support from businesses and individuals to overcome storm No. 3

On the afternoon of September 16, at the Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province, they received donations from units and businesses to support people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 (storm Yagi) with the amount of 1,850,000,000 VND. Of which, An Phat Holdings Group donated 1 billion VND; Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development in Hai Duong donated 700 million VND; Tien Tien Company Limited donated 150 million VND.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Do Huy Cuong - General Director of An Phat Holdings Group said: "After Storm No. 3 passed, our company estimated the damage after the storm at about 30 billion VND.

However, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to promote the tradition of national solidarity with the spirit of "mutual love and affection", the enterprise would like to contribute part of its strength in the hope of helping people quickly overcome damage, restore production and business, and soon stabilize their lives.

Receiving donations from units, the representative of the leadership of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province sent thanks and gratitude to agencies, organizations and individuals who have made noble gestures of encouragement and support to help people overcome difficulties.

At the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front hopes that organizations, businesses and individuals will continue to spread the spirit of "mutual love" and share, helping people overcome the damage caused by natural disasters. According to statistics, Hai Duong has received about 20 billion VND in donations to date.

Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau sent his thanks to the businesses and shared: "In the past few days, storm No. 3 with very strong intensity made landfall, followed by storm circulation causing rain, floods, landslides, causing serious damage to the northern provinces and cities, including Hai Duong.

I am deeply moved by the sentiments and responsibilities of businesses supporting the people affected by the damage in the province. The Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee will use the donated funds for the right purposes, effectively, allocate them promptly, publicly and transparently, in accordance with the provisions of law, so that the received money will reach the people who are heavily affected by storm No. 3 as soon as possible," the Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
