
As of the morning of October 6, storm No. 11 made landfall in Quang Ninh and Lang Son , weakening into a tropical depression and causing relatively heavy, prolonged rain over a wide area.
Faced with that situation, the Lang Son Provincial Military Command directed agencies and units to quickly deploy rescue forces and vehicles into positions ready to carry out tasks to help people when ordered.
Lang Son province's military forces proactively arranged and prepared food, including: 1 ton of rice, 100 cartons of instant noodles, 100 cartons of mineral water; 300kg of dry food; and a number of medicines and medical equipment that can be used to treat and rescue people in storms and floods...

Working groups of the Lang Son Provincial Military Command have conducted field inspections of the lake system, dams, and mountainous areas prone to landslides in the communes of Dinh Lap, Kien Moc, Thai Binh Farm, Loc Binh, Na Duong, Khuat Xa, That Khe, Doan Ket, Tan Tien, Trang Dinh, Na Sam, Thuy Hung, Hoang Van Thu, Ba Son, Cong Son and the wards of Tam Thanh, Luong Van Tri, Ky Lua...

Through the actual inspection and assessment of the situation in the areas, the standing agency of the Civil Defense Command of Lang Son province has coordinated and requested local Party committees and authorities to actively monitor and grasp the situation in key areas, quickly implement plans to evacuate households in dangerous areas; direct forces in the commune to coordinate with the Defense Command of the areas to promptly participate in overcoming the consequences to help people when landslides and flooding occur in the area. Thereby, contributing to minimizing damage to people and property to help people in the province.
Also on October 6, many communes and wards in Lang Son province also established working groups to inspect the flood and storm prevention situation caused by storm No. 11.

The working groups have inspected landslide risk points that could cause direct damage to people's homes and lives.
Along with that, local leaders proactively reminded people to regularly monitor weather developments to take preventive measures, move to safe places, and ensure health and material assets when necessary.

For schools, Lang Son province assigned leaders of communes and wards to proactively decide to let students stay home from school based on the actual situation when necessary, especially in key areas with strong winds, heavy rains, and floods.
Agencies and units from the commune level are required to ensure 100% of their personnel are on duty to prevent storms and floods to promptly respond to unexpected situations.
According to a quick report from the People's Committees of communes and wards, as of 5 p.m. on October 6, Lang Son province recorded no human casualties. However, due to the impact of storm No. 11, 15 houses were affected; about 5.5 hectares of rice were flooded; 1.8 hectares of crops and rice were buried by rocks and soil due to dam breaks. Lang Son province also recorded 12 traffic points with landslides, traffic jams, landslides and some bridges, tunnels and roads were partially flooded.
