Two female teachers made fake degrees for 15 colleagues to apply for positions and salaries

On April 26, Bac Giang Provincial Police announced that the province's Security Investigation Agency has just initiated a case and prosecuted NTKN (born in 1988, residing in Bang Nguoi Street, An Ha Commune, Lang Giang District, Bac Giang Province) and TTL (born in 1984, residing in Mai Ha Village, Tan Thanh Commune, Lang Giang District) for the crime of "Forgery of documents of agencies and organizations". Both defendants are teachers working in Lang Giang District.

According to the Bac Giang Provincial Police, the Provincial Police Internal Political Security Department determined that from 2012 to 2022, 14 teachers in Lang Giang District and 1 teacher in Yen The District (Bac Giang) bought fake diplomas with information from the Central Pedagogical College and Hanoi Pedagogical University and fake IT and foreign language certificates from Hanoi Pedagogical University to include in their application files, exams for appointment to professional titles and teacher salary arrangements. During the investigation, the Bac Giang Provincial Police Security Investigation Agency prosecuted the 2 female teachers mentioned above.

According to Bac Giang Provincial Police, the act of buying, selling and using fake diplomas is a violation of the law, infringes on state management order in training activities, diploma issuance; recruitment activities, seriously affecting the reputation of agencies and organizations.

The Internal Political Security Department recommends that organizations and individuals do not advertise; make, buy, sell, or use fake diplomas, certificates, licenses, and documents. In the coming time, the Bac Giang Provincial Police will strengthen measures to monitor the situation to detect violations and strictly handle them according to the law.

When detecting acts of advertising; making, buying, selling, using fake diplomas and certificates, all individuals and organizations can reflect and denounce to Bac Giang Provincial Police or Internal Political Security Department (phone number: 02043.589.273) and Police of local units in the province for guidance and handling.
