On the evening of June 28, at Hang Kenh Communal House, Le Chan District, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong organized the launching ceremony of the night tour "Sacred Marks of Hang Kenh".
This is one of the activities to celebrate the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, said that this is the first night tourism product of Hai Phong city to apply modern digital technology to heritage space.
The night tour "The Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh" aims to honor the noble values of the Hang Kenh Communal House relic. The content of the tour hopes to convey the unique values of the Hang Kenh Communal House relic, while also giving visitors unique experiences of the communal house cultural space.
The tour is a combination of folk performing arts, traditional rituals and modern technology with typical activities such as water puppetry on the crescent lake; incense offering and literature offering rituals, expressing gratitude to King Ngo's protection, especially enjoying unique performances using 3D mapping technology.
The organizers hope that this tour will bring unique experiences to domestic and foreign tourists, while affirming the value of cultural industry in developing, preserving heritage values, and promoting tourism resources of Hai Phong.
During the tour launch ceremony, the Organizing Committee performed the 3D mapping show "Bach Dang Waves, Ngo Quyen's Heroic Spirit" produced by L'Heritage Group. The 3D Mapping film has 5 segments recreating images from Duong Lam Ancient Village - Ngo Quyen's hometown, to military training scenes, tide research, stake field arrangement and the historical Bach Dang naval battle. The effects of light, sound, and moving images on the ancient communal house background create a lively, realistic and emotional space.
According to the Organizing Committee, Hang Kenh Communal House was built more than 300 years ago, is an architectural work with the style of ancient Vietnamese communal houses, and is also a place to preserve the culture, history and carving art of the Port land. The Communal House is a place to worship "Restored National Founder" Ngo Quyen - who defeated the Southern Han army on the Bach Dang River in 938, opening an era of long-term independence and autonomy for the Vietnamese people.
Currently, many valuable relics remain here, the most special of which is the stele recording the names of talented scholars from 1460 to 1693. With its unique architectural and artistic values, the communal house was ranked at the national level by the State in 1962, becoming a particularly important relic of Hai Phong city.
The "Sacred Mark of Hang Kenh" night tour will take place every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
