Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong city, on behalf of the city's leaders, warmly welcomed and respectfully sent to teachers and educational managers throughout the city his warmest regards and best wishes on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
The Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee said: "To realize the goals of the Central Government and the city, to build Hai Phong into a leading education and training center in the country, an international center for training, research, application and development of science and technology, and marine economy , the city has been synchronously implementing many specific solutions, including this dialogue conference. This is an opportunity for city leaders to listen to enthusiastic, frank, responsible comments as well as specific, breakthrough solutions to promote the city's education and training career."
In a democratic, open, frank and highly responsible atmosphere, the conference recorded 15 direct opinions and recommendations out of a total of 254 opinions and recommendations from educational agencies and units in the area.
The recommendations focus on key groups of content including: the current status of facilities, investment resources for education and training development in recent times; policies to attract high-quality educational human resources of the city; policies and mechanisms to improve education quality, innovate programs and teaching methods; digital transformation, application of science and technology in management and teaching; state management, decentralization, governance, safe and friendly educational environment...
City leaders and relevant departments and branches have answered the questions raised by educational institutions, ensuring clarity, completeness, and clear directions and solutions.
Concluding the conference, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau acknowledged and highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of the officials and teachers. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee basically agreed with the responses of the city leaders, departments, branches and sectors and considered these as the city's commitments, political and legal responsibilities and must focus on organizing implementation for the education and training sector.
The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee will lead and direct so that the commitments and conclusions are soon realized with concrete results, partly responding to the legitimate wishes and expectations of teachers, officials and employees of the city's education and training sector.
The Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee emphasized: "Hai Phong's education does not take the number of excellent students as a measure, but takes human values, civic qualities and dedication as the highest standards. Therefore, the city's education and training sector needs to focus on improving the quality of comprehensive education at all levels; strive to be the leader in the country in digital transformation and application of artificial intelligence in education; build Hai Phong into a digital learning city; implement clear decentralization and delegation of authority and improve the effectiveness of educational administration; focus on developing educational human resources, the city always considers the teaching staff as the decisive factor in the quality of education and the center of educational innovation...".
On this occasion, Hai Phong City Party Secretary Le Tien Chau presented a beautiful flower basket, congratulating the city's education and training sector on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
