2024 marks an important milestone when for the first time, the number of two-way tourists between Vietnam and Korea exceeds 5 million - a major step forward in bilateral cooperation. Of which, the number of Vietnamese visitors to Korea reached more than 511,000 and the number of Korean visitors to Vietnam reached more than 4.6 million.
In the first 4 months of 2025, Korea welcomed 183,000 Vietnamese visitors, an increase of 12.4% over the same period in 2024. These impressive figures not only reflect a positive growth trend, but also lay a solid foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the tourism sector.
Notably, the number of MICE (incentive tourism) tourists from Vietnam to Korea supported by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2024 will reach nearly 54,000, an increase of 32.2% compared to 2023, bringing Vietnam to the second position in Southeast Asia in terms of the number of MICE tourists to Korea, after the Philippines.
Not only has the number of MICE delegations increased, the scale of the delegations is also very impressive. Of the nearly 500 incentive travel delegations supported by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2024, there are more than 20 delegations from large enterprises in Vietnam, each with over 500 guests. This demonstrates the trust and high satisfaction from Vietnamese enterprises, and affirms the attractiveness of Korea as a destination for the international MICE market.
