The great legacy of President Ho Chi Minh is preserved in the memories and emotions of the Vietnamese people, honored and spread through many different forms of art and media, in which stamps and postcards bring a very special perspective on Him.
Each stamp concisely records important historical events and milestones, each postcard reflects memorable moments in his revolutionary life.
The exhibition "Journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps through stamp and postcard collections" introduces to the public 225 images, stamps and postcards in 3 parts.
Specifically, part 1 is themed Portraits of President Ho Chi Minh through the ages. The exhibition introduces the period from his childhood to the last years of his life, including a collection of stamps commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday over the years, especially the stamp issued on May 19, 1960 - on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth.

Part 2 "Journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps" with the following contents: Overview of the homeland, family, journey to find a way to save the country and the career of founding the Party, leading the Vietnamese revolution in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism of President Ho Chi Minh.
In part 3 “Uncle Ho in the hearts of the Vietnamese people and international friends”, the exhibition displays images of Uncle Ho closely associated with the people, especially the people of the South, with children, the people's police force and with Ho Chi Minh City - the city honored to bear his name.
Besides, the image of Uncle Ho is introduced on stamps of some countries in the world such as Laos, Cambodia, Russia, Germany...

According to Ms. Doan Thi Trang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Museum, the exhibition "Journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps through stamp and postcard collections" brings a vivid and unique perspective on the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh through a collection of extremely valuable stamps and postcards.
Each artifact is not only a historical witness but also contains touching stories about patriotism, indomitable will and aspiration for independence and freedom of our nation under his leadership.

According to collector Nguyen Dai Hung Loc, the highlights of this exhibition are: a stamp block commemorating the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday with his signature; a collection of newly published photo stamps about some of the places President Ho Chi Minh passed through during his 30-year journey to find a way to save the country; a collection of 23 photos of the ship Amiral Latouche Treville, the ship that took the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh to find a way to save the country...

“Stamps are not only used to pay postage fees, today stamps are like ambassadors of a country’s image. They bring the image, history, heroic traditions of a nation, and cultural identity of a country to friends around the world. In this exhibition, we want to send to the public a part of Vietnam’s precious stamp collection about President Ho Chi Minh so that the city’s people and tourists can better understand his life, his career of national liberation, his struggle for peace and social progress around the world,” collector Nguyen Dai Hung Loc added.
The exhibition "Journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps through stamp and postcard collections" runs until June 18.
