Hau Giang won 2 third prizes in the National Science and Technology Competition

The authors of two third-prize winning projects at the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year, took a souvenir photo with the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang province - Ms. Nguyen Hoai Thuy Hang.

(HGO) – Two excellent projects selected to represent the province in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year have both won third prize: The project "Research and survey on the weight loss effect of naturally carbonated water from Pineapple (Ananas comosus)", in the field of biomedical and health sciences by Trinh Phuc Duy and Le Phung Nhi, students of Vi Thanh High School for the Gifted; The project "Student management system in schools using automatic identification technology via long-range radio waves RFID-UHF", in the field of embedded systems by Nguyen Le Phuong Tran and Nguyen Trong Phuc, students of Vi Thanh High School. These are also the two projects that won first prize from the provincial competition.

The National Science and Technology Competition for High School Students for the 2023-2024 school year, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Fund for Supporting Technical Innovation (VIFOTEC), has a total of 149 projects participating in the competition (including 15 individual projects and 14 projects of secondary school students). At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 10 first prizes, 17 second prizes, 23 third prizes and 27 fourth prizes.

Two projects representing Hau Giang participating in the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year were commended.

This is the 12th year the contest is held to encourage high school students to conduct scientific research, apply knowledge to solve real-life problems; create opportunities for high school students to introduce scientific research results; enhance cultural and educational exchanges between localities and international integration.
