Hau Giang awards prizes to winning works of the 19th Provincial Press Award in 2023

In recent times, the press team in the province has accompanied, promptly reflected, contributed to orienting public opinion; propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to bring them closer to the people. The press is an important bridge between the Party, the government and the people, actively contributing to the direction and administration of the province.

Over the years, the team of journalists in the province has not been afraid of difficulties, making efforts to improve and learn expertise and skills, proactively improving content and form, providing multi-dimensional and rich information in all fields, creating many quality journalistic works, winning many awards in the province, region and nationwide.

Hau Giang Provincial Press Award is an annual award, aiming to honor authors with excellent press works, enhance the role of the province, the responsibility of journalists to society, contributing to the economic and social development of the province. This year, there are 140 entries, including 59 print works, 24 visual works, 38 audio works and 19 photo press works.

According to the jury's assessment, not only the quantity but also the quality of each press genre has been improved, demonstrating the serious investment of journalists. In each genre, the jury awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit to the group of authors Minh Phuc - Kim Chi - Minh Thien - Anh Thu, Hau Giang Provincial Radio and Television Station, with the work "Strong in One Belief". This is the work that won the Encouragement Prize of the 17th National Press Award in 2022. The Provincial Journalists Association also awarded certificates of merit to active members.
