Dien Bien Provincial People's Council completes the Chairman of the People's Council and People's Committee

The 23rd session of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council completed the election of the Chairman of the People's Council and People's Committee, and agreed on important resolutions on personnel work.

On the afternoon of November 19, the People's Council of Dien Bien province, term XV, 2021 - 2026, held the 23rd session - a thematic session to complete the positions of Chairman of the People's Council and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Implementing the Central's policy, the personnel plan of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, at this session, the Provincial People's Council considered and carried out the dismissal and election of the positions of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the term 2021 - 2026.

Through the presentation of the People's Council of Dien Bien province, 43/43 delegates of the Provincial People's Council voted unanimously to dismiss Mr. Le Thanh Do from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Bien province approved the proposal to nominate Mr. Le Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province for the 2021 - 2026 term. With high trust, Mr. Le Van Luong was approved by 43/43 delegates and was elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: With the assigned responsibility as the head of the Provincial People's Committee, I would like to inherit, promote, and pledge to devote all my abilities and efforts to join hands with the Standing Committee, the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee to continue to innovate, strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of State management and the direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee.

Correctly perform duties, responsibilities and powers as prescribed by the Constitution and laws; maintain prestige, discipline and administrative order, promote individual responsibility combined with promoting collective intelligence, dynamism and creativity of each member of the Provincial People's Committee; successfully complete the tasks of the Provincial People's Committee, contributing to building Dien Bien province to develop towards a green, smart and sustainable economy .

Regarding the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, 43/43 delegates voted unanimously to dismiss Mr. Lo Van Phuong from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, term XV, 2021 - 2026. Along with that, based on the personnel introduction report of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Council, 100% of delegates attending the session voted to elect Mr. Le Thanh Do to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026.

Taking on the new assignment, Mr. Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, said: "I promise to work with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to build a united and unified collective; strictly follow the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee; constantly innovate and promote the spirit of initiative, responsibility and courage in managing the activities of the Provincial People's Council. Focus on issuing timely, public, transparent resolutions in accordance with local realities; strengthen supervision of key issues that directly affect socio-economic development, national defense - security and people's lives.

At the same time, maintain close contact with voters, fully listen to the people's opinions and legitimate aspirations. Continue to coordinate regularly and effectively with the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front and relevant agencies and units, ensuring unity in leadership, direction and organization of task implementation, contributing to building a strong local government that operates effectively and efficiently.

With the spirit of urgent, serious, democratic and responsible work, the 23rd session of the 15th Dien Bien Provincial People's Council has completed all the contents and programs set out. The Provincial People's Council has reached a high consensus and passed 4 important resolutions on key personnel work of Dien Bien.
