After more than a year of fencing off areas to warn of danger, most of the households living in Giang Vo and Ngoc Khanh apartment complexes have relocated. However, in Thanh Cong apartment complex, some households still decided to stay, clinging to their position, refusing to move to temporary housing.
G6A apartment complex in Thanh Cong apartment complex (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) is 5 stories high with a construction area of over 500 m2. This apartment complex was put into use in 1987 and consists of 2 units with 49 apartments.
Currently, the building has seriously degraded and the authorities have classified it as a level D building, a dangerous collective area.
Recorded on the morning of June 15, 2024, although the G6A Thanh Cong apartment complex was fenced off with warnings of danger more than a year ago, there was still a path for people to move into their homes.
The area around the house is surrounded by corrugated iron sheets and there is only one exit and entrance at alley 16 on Nguyen Hong street.
There are still people living on the first floor of G6A Thanh Cong apartment building.
After the families moved to their new homes, the landing areas and hallways between floors were filled with trash and household items.
The apartments are sealed with corrugated iron.
Inside an apartment there are still many valuables of the residents that have not been moved out.
The ceiling and exposed water pipes in the G6A Thanh Cong apartment complex are in a state of serious disrepair.
At Ngoc Khanh apartment complex, after more than a year of fencing off areas with corrugated iron to warn of danger, all households living in unit 1 have migrated to new residences.
The structure of building A, Ngoc Khanh apartment complex has seriously degraded, the walls are peeling, the steel is rusted, the surrounding area is reinforced with a steel frame system but over time it has also corroded, no longer ensuring load-bearing capacity.
Similarly, in Giang Vo collective housing area, most households here have moved to temporary housing because the houses here have seriously degraded. Although Giang Vo Ward People's Committee has strictly prohibited all business activities, leasing, lending for living or using for other purposes at C8 unit, there are still people doing business and trading near the corrugated iron fence of the collective housing area.
The C8 Giang Vo apartment complex is seriously degraded, and the doors of the apartments are also surrounded by corrugated iron. Residents in the area said that there is still one household that has not signed the documents related to compensation. However, this person's apartment is empty, with no one living there.
