In 2015, KCP Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. (100% Indian capital) officially operated the KCP Biomass Power Plant. Since then, the sugarcane pressing capacity has increased as much as the biomass power output. This model not only helps the company deal with the large amount of sugarcane bagasse left over after each pressing season but also generates additional revenue from supplying electricity to the national grid. The company also uses bagasse as raw material to produce biofertilizers. When revenue increases, the company not only purchases 100% of each crop's sugarcane output at a price higher than the average market price, but also has many preferential policies such as fertilizer support, cash, sugarcane seeds, etc. for sugarcane growers.
Mr. KVSR Subbaiah, General Director of KCP Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., said: “The biomass power plant initially had a capacity of 30 MW, then the company increased it to 60 MW and this 2025-2026 sugarcane crop is 75 MW. Increasing the capacity of KCP Biomass Power Plant helps the unit make the most of by-products from sugarcane production to create renewable, environmentally friendly energy sources. This is the company's long-term vision in improving production capacity, contributing to the trend of developing a circular economy , aiming to reduce carbon emissions according to the Vietnamese Government's commitment to green and sustainable development.”

Organically grown cow feed helps processed products meet standards, contributing to protecting consumer health. |
Agricultural production in Son Hoa commune in particular and many communes and wards in the province in general are facing the problem of environmental pollution in production areas. Circular farming and livestock models are an effective solution to this problem, helping to limit land degradation and creating organic agricultural products that are good for consumers' health.
At the Son Hoa Organic Agriculture, Trade and Service Cooperative, raising cows and chickens according to a circular model is contributing to increasing the value of local agricultural products and protecting the ecological environment. Mr. Le Dinh Thong, Director of this Cooperative, said: "The Cooperative utilizes finished products and waste from one source as input for another, forming a closed loop that supports each other to solve the problem of feed sources for livestock. Specifically, the Cooperative uses leftover vegetables and fruits as feed for earthworms and calcium worms. This is the main source of food for more than 1,000 chickens of the Cooperative. Along with that, the Cooperative uses earthworm manure, calcium worm manure, and chicken manure to fertilize plants, increasing soil fertility, so vegetables and food sources for cows ensure the necessary amount of nutrients."
Growing crops without using chemical fertilizers or pesticides; raising livestock without using industrial feed or antibiotics helps Son Hoa Organic Agriculture, Trade and Service Cooperative perfect the organic farming process. From here, the Cooperative's processed products such as one-sun-dried pork belly, one-sun-dried baby ribs, ready-to-eat soft beef jerky, one-sun-dried yellow beef all achieve 3-star OCOP certification.
According to Nay Y Blung, Secretary of the Son Hoa Commune Party Committee, Son Hoa is a mountainous commune, sugarcane and cows are the main agricultural products of the locality. Many households have escaped poverty and become rich from here. Therefore, in order to produce sustainably, the locality always encourages and mobilizes people, businesses, and cooperatives to develop the economy in association with environmental protection. Currently, production and processing according to the local circular model are helping to optimize resources, minimize waste, and contribute to protecting the ecological environment.
