Previously, a 44-second clip was circulated showing that in the medical room there were Mr. My, Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue (Vice Principal), Ms. Truong Thi Quynh (school health worker), a teacher and more than 10 students with symptoms of poisoning.
In the clip, Ms. Hue requested that students be given medicine under the supervision of the leaders. When Ms. Quynh suggested taking the students to the hospital, Ms. Hue said, "100% of the students are fine, we will not take them to the hospital." According to Ms. Quynh, it was not until after 8:30 a.m., after many parents gathered, that the school took the students to the emergency room.

Ms. Quynh said that she had proposed to set up a food inspection team to monitor the school meals, but was rejected by Ms. Hue. She also reported that the food brought into the school is currently directly received and prepared by Ms. Hue and two catering staff, and teachers and parents are not allowed to participate in monitoring.
Regarding the clip preventing students from being taken to the hospital, speaking with VietNamNet , Mr. Do Van My, the school's principal, said: "I don't know if the video was edited or not, but at that time, only 2 children were slightly injured. Ms. Hue wanted to give them electrolytes and monitor them further. If it was beyond the authority of the medical staff, they would take them to the hospital, not prohibit them from going."
Regarding the proposal for a food inspection team, according to Mr. My, Ms. Hue objected because she thought that having a boarding team was enough, there was no need for an additional food inspection team. The information that "no one is allowed to enter the boarding kitchen" was also incorrect, Ms. Hue only requested that anyone who wanted to enter must report to ensure hygiene.

Mr. Dang Van Duong, Chairman of Kim Ngan Commune, said that the commune has mobilized vehicles to take students showing signs of poisoning to the hospital, and at the same time directed specialized agencies to verify the cause and the police to investigate.
"Regarding the clip that appeared claiming that Ms. Hue prevented students from going to the hospital, the authorities are still working so they cannot confirm it yet," Mr. Duong said.
Mr. Duong added that the commune has received many anonymous letters denouncing the school and Ms. Hue. The commune had planned to set up an inspection team right after the new school year started, but before it could be implemented, the poisoning incident occurred.
As reported by VietNamNet , at around 8am on September 26, after breakfast at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School, many students showed symptoms of stomachache, vomiting, and diarrhea. The school then coordinated with the authorities and parents to mobilize vehicles to take more than 40 students to Le Thuy Regional General Hospital for examination and treatment.
The children's health is now stable.
