Before the terrible flash flood, Nu Village was home to 158 people. There were 37 houses, living peacefully all year round in the valley, surrounded by mountains and hills.

In early 2024, while working in the fields, Mr. Hoang Van Bai filmed a short clip from a high hilltop showing the whole view of Lang Nu. The recorded image shows the houses of the people of Lang Nu village located along the village road, surrounded by terraced fields.

After the flash flood, the whole village was almost wiped out. The peaceful village was instantly flattened by rocks and soil.
