Coach Kim Sang-sik aims to win all 3 points in the rematch with Nepal

After 3 matches in Group F, the Vietnamese team is ranked second with 6 points after 2 wins and 1 loss, 3 points behind the leading team Malaysia.

“In the match on October 9, we won 3-1. Tomorrow, the whole team has a clear goal of continuing to win 3 points. I think the opponent will actively defend deep, so the players need to move flexibly, coordinate well and finish more accurately.

I hope the whole team will play confidently and give a good match to the fans," coach Kim Sang-sik said about the team's goal.

Regarding the possibility of using U23 players, coach Kim Sangs-ik said the coaching staff had a specific plan: "In the first leg, we prioritized safety so we did not use many U23 players.

In the next match, I cannot reveal the details yet, but I may give the young players a chance. They are capable of competing and have been performing well in recent training sessions."

Regarding the squad situation, the Korean strategist confirmed that central defender Bui Tien Dung is likely to not play due to injury: "He had back pain after the first half of the match against Nepal and has not been able to train normally. However, the other players are ready and can meet the tactical requirements well."

The Vietnam team is ready for the rematch with Nepal.

Emphasizing the goal of winning more convincingly, coach Kim Sang-sik said the team had prepared carefully in attack: “In the previous match, we had 20 chances but only scored 3 goals.

When asked about the atmosphere at Thong Nhat Stadium, coach Kim Sang-sik said: “I know the number of tickets is limited compared to the demand of a large number of fans.
