Coach Makoto Teguramori officially leads Hanoi FC in the second leg

This is the second Japanese strategist in history to lead the capital team after Mr. Daiki Iwamasa, who had a quite successful time with the Hang Day team.

Coach Makoto Teguramori was born in 1967. He led the Japanese U23 team and became assistant head coach for the Japanese national team in 2014. This strategist led the Japanese U23 team to win the U23 Asia Championship in 2016, thereby earning a ticket to the Olympics that same year.

In addition to his coaching experience in several J-League 1 and J-League 2 teams, coach Makoto Teguramori also spent time working in Southeast Asia in the Thai League. The two teams he coached were BG Pathum United and Chonburi FC.

With poor results in both V. League and early elimination from the National Cup, Hanoi FC decided to say goodbye to coach Le Duc Tuan and appoint coach Hoang Van Phuc. This veteran strategist took on the role of interim manager until the capital team in the recent past before Hanoi FC officially announced head coach Makoto Teguramori.

Coach Makoto Teguramori shared: "Football is always moving and experiencing many new football styles to accumulate more knowledge is what I aim for. Vietnamese football is developing, I watched a match in V.League, it is not easy to win this tournament but we will try our best to raise the cup at the end of the season. Please believe and support us".

It is expected that the first match that coach Makoto Teguramori will take the helm at Hanoi FC will be the away match against Hoang Anh Gia Lai in round 14 of the 2024-2025 V. League. With 20 points after 13 matches, the chance to compete for the championship is still there for the capital team when they are still 4 points behind the top team Nam Dinh Steel Club. With the early elimination from the National Cup, Hanoi FC will focus entirely on this arena.

Coach Makoto Teguramori will start working from February 17, along with Korean assistant - Yi Chang Yeob. With extensive experience and modern football philosophy, coach Makoto Teguramori is expected to bring a new breeze to Hanoi Football Club to conquer the challenges ahead.
