According to the SEA Games 32 draw, U22 Thailand is in the same group with U22 Vietnam, U22 Malaysia, U22 Singapore and U22 Laos. This is considered a difficult group. Even the Thai press once doubted the transparency of the draw ceremony of the host Cambodia.
Coach Issara Sritaro questioned why the SEA Games Organizing Committee did not group all the strong teams into one group? (Photo: Thairath).
Speaking about this, coach Issara Sritaro shared: "You can meet anyone. Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Laos. All are good. I think Indonesia should be put in the group. It's okay. It's reasonable for them to replace Laos. It's just a pity that it can't be done because Indonesia is in the same seed group as Thailand."
Despite being in a difficult group, coach Issara Sritaro still affirmed the goal of winning every match. He shared: "We want to win every match. We will try to get the best results in the first three matches. The last match against U22 Vietnam will be very difficult. Therefore, I need to consider the team's plan.
Let the fans immerse themselves in the football atmosphere with the young players. We will have a match with a high-level team in Southeast Asia (U22 Vietnam). Of course, U22 Thailand is not underestimated in that match. The encouragement of the young players will help U22 Thailand play well."

The men's football event at the 32nd SEA Games will take place on April 29. U22 Vietnam will take the field on April 30 against U22 Laos. Meanwhile, U22 Thailand will face U22 Singapore. Currently, U22 Vietnam is the defending champion of the tournament.
Although they cannot summon the best players because Thai clubs refuse to release them (especially Suphanat), U22 Thailand is still highly rated. They have just competed successfully in the Doha Cup friendly tournament, finishing 4th overall.
