The Vietnamese women's futsal team had a smooth start at the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship when they defeated Hong Kong (China) 5-3. Evaluating the match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "The match was really difficult for us. As you know, the first match is always a challenge. The coaching staff and I are satisfied with the players' efforts. The team's efforts were well rewarded. Although there are still many points to improve, we thank the players for fighting with all their might."

The most difficult moment of the match was when the Vietnamese women's futsal team was tied 3-3 by Hong Kong (China). Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang said: "The Vietnamese women's futsal team really did not have the best rhythm at the beginning of each half. After being tied, we reminded the players to stay focused and improve their tactics to resolve the situation on the field."

Despite winning 3 points, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang affirmed that he needs to improve more in the next matches: "After this match, the coaching staff will review the video to analyze and make adjustments. It can be seen that we did not start the match well, and concentration at key moments is still a problem that needs to be overcome."

In the next match, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will meet the Philippines at 10:00 a.m. on May 9.
