Binh Dien Hydropower Reservoir will regulate water tonight (June 12) |
On the afternoon of June 12, the Hue City Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) announced the regulation of the Binh Dien hydropower reservoir located on the Huong River basin.
To gradually lower the water level of the reservoir, increase flood prevention capacity, ensure safety of works and downstream areas in the coming natural disasters, the City's Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control requests to adjust the operating flow of Binh Dien Hydropower Reservoir through the spillway and turbine with a gradually increasing flow, avoiding sudden changes, about 50 - 700m3/s. Adjust operations depending on the actual flow situation to the reservoir.
Traffic started to increase gradually at 19:30 on the same day.
According to the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control, the water level on rivers in the city is currently fluctuating moderately, the Huong River is fluctuating below alert level 1, the Bo River is above alert level 1. The water level on the afternoon of June 12 on the Huong River at Kim Long station was 1.09m, 0.09m higher than alert level 1; the Bo River at Phu Oc station was 1.53m, 0.03m higher than alert level 1; the O Lau River at Phong Binh station was 2.45m...
