Due to the impact of storm No. 1, in Phong Dien town, there was heavy rain combined with high tides, causing water levels in rivers to rise, causing widespread flooding. The traffic system in communes and wards was deeply flooded, many areas were cut off, the deepest flooded section was from 0.7 to 2.5m.
Floods inundated 4,509 hectares of rice, 84 hectares of vegetables, 446 hectares of cassava, 368 hectares of lotus, 368 hectares of beans, various beans and 18.5 hectares of fruit trees. Regarding aquaculture, 106 hectares of freshwater fish ponds and more than 30 hectares of shrimp farms were damaged. In Phong Hai and Phong Phu wards, 4 dikes were broken with many sections 5-10m long and 2-3m deep...

After inspecting the two communes of Phong Chuong and Phong Binh, Chairman of Phong Dien Town People's Committee - Hoang Viet Cuong requested localities to monitor when the flood water level decreases, quickly make specific statistics of damage to propose support sources and mobilize people to overcome and handle the environment; coordinate with relevant departments and offices to prevent potential epidemics; organize the quick restoration of livestock and crop farming, especially the situation of flooding the entire summer-autumn rice area that has just been sown and planted about 20 days old in low-lying areas.
