Hoa Phat supports the construction of more than 1,500 houses for the poor across the country.

Responding to the call of the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and ministries to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of 2025, Hoa Phat Group has supported the construction of more than 1,500 houses for the poor and disadvantaged households nationwide. Of which, 1,000 houses are in Quang Ngai and Phu Yen provinces, the rest are in Tra Vinh and Soc Trang.

Deputy General Director of Hoa Phat Group Tran Thi Thu Hien presented 50 billion VND in support, of which 20 billion VND was for Phu Yen and 30 billion VND was for Quang Ngai to build 1,000 houses and eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the two localities.

According to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, after reviewing, the country currently has more than 153,000 temporary and dilapidated houses at different levels: supporting households with 50 million VND/household to build new houses, 25 million VND for households to repair houses, and it is expected that the whole country needs more than 6,500 billion VND. The Government plans to complete the peak period of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide by the end of 2025. Therefore, the campaign "Warm home for my compatriots" was organized by the Government and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on October 5 to mobilize more resources from businesses, agencies, organizations and individuals. The goal is for all people to be able to live in "3 hard" houses - hard roof, hard floor and hard walls. Joining the program, Hoa Phat has supported 50 billion VND, of which Phu Yen is 20 billion and Quang Ngai is 30 billion to build 1,000 houses, eliminate temporary houses, and dilapidated houses for people in the two localities. Previously, in early 2024, the Group sponsored the two provinces of Tra Vinh and Soc Trang to build 500 houses for households in difficult circumstances. Thus, since the beginning of the year, Hoa Phat has built and committed to support the construction of 1,500 houses for the poor with a budget of nearly 80 billion VND. In addition, the Group also supported Hung Yen province with 8 billion VND to support the construction of houses for the poor and victims of Agent Orange, and most recently, supported the reconstruction of 28 houses in Bat Xat, Lao Cai.

Linking its development with the interests of the community, over the past 9 months, Hoa Phat has also implemented many meaningful charity and social programs. In the first 9 months of 2024, Hoa Phat paid 10,000 billion VND to the State budget, an increase of 65% over the same period last year.
