At the reception, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha affirmed that the Vietnam-Japan relationship has never reached such a high level and success as it is today. This is a cooperation that both sides care about and share with each other. The two economies and two countries have similarities and can complement each other in the cooperative relationship.

This year, the two countries organized many events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations. In particular, the visits of the two countries' leaders affirmed that the political trust between the two countries is constantly being consolidated and enhanced.

Vietnam always appreciates and welcomes cooperation projects between Japanese enterprises and Vietnamese enterprises. While the world economy is experiencing fluctuations, Vietnam wishes to maintain and develop cooperation and investment relations with Japanese enterprises.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Vietnam-Japan relationship is built on prestige and political trust, which is the foundation for further promoting investment projects and business cooperation between enterprises of the two countries. Japanese enterprises are always welcomed and facilitated by Vietnamese localities. Japanese enterprises' projects in Vietnam are all operating effectively, with plans to expand their investment scale.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that for the Block B - O Mon gas project chain (upstream project and gas pipeline project) that MOECO and its partners are implementing, the progress of upstream, midstream and downstream projects is a commitment to success.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that when implementing investment projects, businesses must "win together and make profits together". All parties must take into account market fluctuations to ensure investment efficiency; at the same time, he requested MECO and its partners to speed up negotiations in a spirit of openness and trust, and soon complete the framework agreement.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the policies of the Vietnamese State will ensure the project operates stably and sustainably throughout its life cycle, as well as benefit investors so that "the Block B gas project chain is a bright spot in economic cooperation between Japan and Vietnam".

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet him, Mr. Harada Hidenori updated the implementation status of the Block B gas exploitation project; saying that MOECO is working with partners to prepare investment procedures for the gas project chain at Block B with the active support and assistance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The project has reached the final stages of signing related contracts to soon implement the project in practice in the spirit of "harmonized benefits, shared risks" between the State, investors and people.

Mr. Harada Hidenori thanked and appreciated the Vietnamese Government's strong direction in resolving the project's difficulties and problems.
