By the end of June 2024, 10/10 districts and cities had completed the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for the 2024-2029 term. According to the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in districts and cities ensured the correct procedures and progress, and was truly a vibrant political activity of all classes of people.
The Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lac Thuy district for the 2024 - 2029 term was a great success.
After the success of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Model Congress of Tan Lac district on April 23-24, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee evaluated and learned from the experience of organizing the congress, thereby successfully organizing the remaining 9 district-level units. The personnel work presented at the congress was comprehensively led and directed by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the City Party Committee, so the consultation and selection of personnel to participate in the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level ensured the quantity, structure, and composition; the proportion of non-Party members accounted for over 28%, the proportion of women over 30%; the proportion of re-elected members did not exceed 60%...
Comrade Bui Van Luyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said: "According to the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the district-level congress has carefully prepared the content of documents, personnel plans, programs, operating scenarios, ceremonies and propaganda about the congress. The congress took place seriously, ensuring the proposed contents and prescribed time, creating an exciting and united atmosphere among the people. Completing the district-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress on schedule and according to the set plan will create favorable conditions in terms of time and conditions for organizing the 16th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates of Hoa Binh province, term 2024 - 2029".
At the congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts and cities consulted to elect 545 members to participate in 10 Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts and cities for the 2024 - 2029 term. Of which, 167 were women (accounting for 30.64%); 153 were non-Party members (accounting for 28.07%); 390 were ethnic minorities (accounting for 71.56%); 21 were religious (accounting for 3.85%). At the same time, consultation was conducted to elect delegates to attend the 16th Provincial Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024 - 2029 term with a reasonable structure and composition, ensuring quantity and quality. The first conference of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of districts and cities of the new term consulted to elect 10 chairmen, of which 8/10 chairmen for the 2019-2024 term were re-elected, 2 chairmen participated for the first time.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also requested the Fatherland Fronts of districts and cities to expand the composition of the invited members of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to be diverse but must ensure quality, demonstrate the strength of great national unity, increase the proportion of non-Party members, ethnic minorities; typical individuals and religions must also be carefully selected. Thereby, most of the new Fatherland Front Committees ensure the structure and composition, ensure representativeness, and exemplary, affirming that the congress is truly a broad political activity within the Fatherland Front system and all classes of people on building and promoting the strength of great national unity.
According to the assessment, the propaganda work before, during and after the congress was clearly demonstrated, focusing on both breadth and depth. The political reports presented at the congress were carefully prepared by the units, objectively and comprehensively assessing the results achieved, advantages, limitations, causes and lessons learned in the past term. At the same time, a new term action program was proposed that was close to reality, closely following the spirit of the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the political tasks of each locality. At the congress, localities focused on assessing the results achieved in implementing political tasks, mobilizing and uniting the people, implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; analyzing and discussing in depth the causes of limitations and shortcomings, proposing appropriate action programs and targets for the coming term.
The completion of the district-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress will facilitate the time and conditions for organizing the 16th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress. The preparation of the content of the congress documents and the provincial-level personnel structure for the new term are all carried out in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 22-CT/TW, dated May 25, 2023 of the Secretariat on leading the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.
As planned, the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hoa Binh province, term 2024 - 2029, will be held on August 1 - 2, 2024.
