The third resettlement area (TDC) in An Thanh Thuy commune , Dong Thap province, under the sub-project of site clearance of the Cho Gao canal upgrading project, phase 2 (referred to as the Project) has been completed, meeting the housing needs of nearly 50 households affected by the project .

The resettlement area in An Thanh Thuy commune has been completed.

According to records, due to the slow construction of the resettlement area, for many years now, dozens of households whose land was recovered to serve the Project in An Thanh Thuy commune have encountered many difficulties in housing.

Up to now, the third resettlement area in An Thanh Thuy commune has been urgently deployed and completed by the contractor. The investor will hand over to the local government to carry out procedures to grant land to households eligible to build houses.

The resettlement area in An Thanh Thuy commune is invested by the Project Management and Land Fund Development Board of Cho Gao district (now the Investment Project Management Board of Region 4, Dong Thap province), with about 2.3 hectares located in Binh Khuong 1 hamlet, An Thanh Thuy commune.

Accordingly, the resettlement area will be implemented with the following items: Traffic system; power supply and communication system; water supply and drainage system, fire prevention and fighting and wastewater treatment system; parks, trees; and leveling.

The total estimated construction value is over 25.9 billion VND; of which, the construction cost is over 23.5 billion VND. The resettlement area in An Thanh Thuy commune will be arranged for 44 households eligible to receive land. These are households subject to complete clearance and have handed over the land to the Investment Project to build the Cho Gao Canal upgrade project, phase 2.

Previously, the Project Management and Land Fund Development Board of Cho Gao district (now the Investment Project Management Board of Region 4) completed the construction of 2 resettlement areas for dozens of households whose land was completely cleared.
