(LĐ online) - On the afternoon of December 26, the Army Academy held a conference to summarize the work of twinning and solidarity between the military and the people in 2024. Major General Nguyen Cong Son - Deputy Political Commissar of the Academy chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee; Major General Do Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Academy; representative of the head of Military Region 7; leaders of agencies and units under the Academy; and representatives of departments, branches and twinned units in the area.

Over the past year, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Army Academy have closely, synchronously and effectively led and directed twinning and mass mobilization activities. In particular, the solidarity and close relationship between the Academy and Military Region 7, Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, unions, people of Lam Dong province and twinning units has been constantly consolidated and developed.

The twinning activities between the Army Academy and Military Region 7 have been deployed and implemented promptly and comprehensively, with many aspects being well implemented; especially theeducation and training work to create a source of high-quality cadres for the two units. At the same time, emulation movements such as "Skilled mass mobilization", building "Good mass mobilization units" and "Joining hands to build new rural areas" have been deployed strongly and practically, bringing about positive results.

Along with that, the Academy has also implemented and carried out well the work of caring for policy beneficiaries and families in difficult circumstances. During the year, the Academy built and handed over 2 Gratitude Houses and 2 Comrade Houses to policy beneficiaries and soldiers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 360 million VND.

The good implementation of the twinning and solidarity work between the military and the people not only fosters good feelings between the Academy and the Military Region and the Party Committee, government, agencies, departments, branches, and people of Lam Dong province and localities in the Military Region, but also contributes to the development of the economy , culture and society, building a solid people's position, and consolidating national defense and security in the new situation.

At the Conference, delegates actively discussed, shared experiences and proposed solutions to further improve the quality of twinning work and military-civilian solidarity in the coming time.

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Major General Nguyen Cong Son, Deputy Commissar of the Army Academy, respectfully accepted the opinions and suggestions from the delegates. In order to improve the quality of twinning and military-civilian solidarity, the Deputy Commissar of the Academy suggested that in the coming time, agencies and units under the Academy should strengthen close coordination with Military Region 7 and local Party Committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to grasp the actual situation, thereby organizing twinning and mass mobilization activities in a suitable, practical and meaningful manner.

On this occasion, the Army Academy also awarded certificates of merit to 2 groups and 8 individuals for their good achievements in the emulation movement "Skilled Civil Service", building "Good Civil Service Unit" in 2024.
