Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin provides support for house repairs and gifts in Ha Giang 2 Ward

On the morning of November 27, in Ha Giang 2 ward, the working delegation of the Central Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Vietnam organized a ceremony to provide support for house repairs and gifts to Agent Orange victims in Ha Giang 1 ward, Ha Giang 2 ward and Ngoc Duong commune affected by recent storm No. 10.

Attending the event were Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province; and Standing Committee of the Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

According to statistics, the recent storm No. 10 has caused damage to 96 households who are victims of Agent Orange, causing many houses to have their roofs blown off and damaged. In order to share the difficulties, the Association has given 96 gifts, each worth 1.2 million VND. This is a timely source of encouragement, helping households overcome the consequences after the storm.

In addition, considering the particularly difficult circumstances of a case whose house was severely damaged, the Association decided to support 35 million VND to repair the house, helping the family quickly stabilize their housing and feel secure in their daily lives after the natural disaster.

Speaking at the support handover ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, emphasized that caring for the victims is not only a responsibility but also a deep gratitude of the whole society to those who have suffered many sacrifices and losses. The Association hopes that authorities at all levels, organizations and the community will continue to accompany and join hands to support Agent Orange victims to overcome difficulties and gradually improve their lives.

This meaningful activity contributes to spreading the spirit of humanity and sharing, demonstrating the Association's concern for those who suffer many disadvantages due to the consequences of war and natural disasters, while strengthening people's trust in humanitarian and social activities.
