Medical Equipment Business Dialogue Conference 2025

On August 15, in Khanh Hoa province, the Ministry of Health coordinated with relevant units to organize the 2025 Medical Equipment Business Dialogue Conference. Comrade Do Xuan Tuyen - Permanent Deputy Minister of Health chaired the conference. Attending the conference were about 250 delegates representing medical equipment businesses nationwide.

At the conference, the Ministry of Health discussed and answered recommendations and feedback from the business community on shortcomings in the classification of medical equipment, the risk of being overwhelmed by cheap imported goods, and difficulties in announcing and registering products for circulation; at the same time, it acknowledged many proposals in preventing and combating smuggling and trade fraud in the field of medical equipment; solutions to facilitate businesses when working with management agencies; removing obstacles, perfecting policies and building a transparent and favorable business environment, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the Vietnamese medical equipment industry.

The Ministry of Health also solicited comments to complete the draft Decree amending and supplementing Decree 96/2023/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and related documents; disseminating and guiding new regulations; classifying and announcing eligibility for production and business...

Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen requested medical equipment enterprises to continue promoting the achieved results; proactively improve product quality at reasonable costs; strengthen management capacity, apply modern science and technology, digital technology and artificial intelligence, regularly improve techniques to improve efficiency and safety of equipment; expand international cooperation, promote technology transfer, develop domestic production, gradually participate in the global medical equipment supply chain; at the same time, actively contribute opinions and feedback to perfect institutions and policies on medical equipment of state management agencies...
