Creative Youth Science Conference and summary of student scientific research activities for the 2024-2025 school year

On the morning of June 11, Hong Duc University organized the Creative Youth Science Conference and summarized student scientific research activities for the 2024-2025 school year.

MSc. Nguyen Van Cuong, Lecturer of Faculty of Economics, Information Technology and Communication, presented a paper: "Building a virtual tour model based on 3D WEB at Hong Duc University".

The 2024-2025 academic year has seen positive progress in student scientific research activities at Hong Duc University in terms of scale of implementation, academic quality and practical effectiveness. The number of topics has increased, the quality of topics has been improved, many projects have practical applications, linked to the training major and development orientation of the locality and enterprises. In particular, the rate of topics with academic publications continues to increase, reflecting the development of students' research capacity and scientific communication skills.

Not only stopping at the academic movement, the student scientific research activities of Hong Duc University in the 2024-2025 school year have had clear changes in depth, demonstrated through the increase in highly applicable topics, published products and practical connections. The school has 103 student scientific research topics implemented, including 40 faculty-level topics and 63 university-level competition topics. All 9 faculties in the school have students participating in school-level research. A number of high-quality topics have been selected to participate in provincial and ministerial-level competitions and awards, bringing prestige and affirming the position of Hong Duc University students in academic playgrounds. Timely rewards and recognition have created great spiritual motivation, encouraging the movement of innovation and in-depth research among students.

Also in the 2024-2025 school year, the school continues to promote the start-up and innovation movement among students, considering this one of the directions for comprehensive capacity development, complementing training and scientific research activities. Through large-scale and methodical programs, competitions and academic activities, students are not only equipped with practical knowledge but also have the opportunity to develop communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and start-up thinking - innovation. Many competitions and programs attract a large number of students to participate and bring many practical values such as: Student Start-up Competition 2024; The 7th National Start-up Festival for Students (SV.STARTUP 2025); "Student Start-up - Incubating Entrepreneurs" program...

However, student research activities still have certain limitations such as unevenness among training units; low international publication rate; research skills and proactive spirit of a part of students need to continue to be fostered and supported more systematically in the coming time.

In the 2025-2026 school year, promote the pioneering and creative role of students in scientific research, contributing to the training of high-quality human resources with research and practical application capacity, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province; gradually affirm the role of students in building Hong Duc University into a prestigious training, scientific research and technology transfer center in the North Central region; the whole school strives to have 1 to 2 topics winning the student scientific research award at the Ministry of Education and Training level; all training majors in the school have students participating in scientific research; at least 40% of student scientific research groups have articles published in national scientific journals, Hong Duc University scientific journals and specialized conference proceedings; many student groups have achieved high achievements in start-up competitions, national student Olympics, etc.
