Conference on training and fostering professional skills in trade union work in 2024

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Huu Tuan, member of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel; comrade Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Chairwoman of the Ministry's Trade Union, Director of the Department of Planning and Finance; comrade Lai Duc Vuong, Deputy Director of the National Academy of Public Administration; comrades in the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs Trade Union; cadres of trade union organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs Trade Union.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Chairwoman of the Ministry's Trade Union Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy emphasized that training, fostering, and improving the working capacity and performance of public duties for cadres, civil servants, and public employees is always a key task in building and improving the quality of the cadres, civil servants, and public employees of the Ministry. In recent years, the Ministry's leaders have always paid attention to this work, and every year there are plans and many training courses for civil servants and public employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs to equip the civil servants and public employees with skills and knowledge. And through those courses, each civil servant and public employee has gained more knowledge and skills to successfully complete the assigned political tasks.

In addition to performing professional work, a large number of civil servants and public employees in the Ministry also take on concurrent work and tasks of the Trade Union organization (nearly 300 civil servants and public employees concurrently take on trade union work).

Recognizing the importance of the union cadre team in improving the quality and effectiveness of union activities , training and fostering union work skills is one of the regular and important tasks of union levels, aiming to train union work skills and provide basic understanding of the organization, principles and methods of union operations. At the same time, cultivating basic knowledge, training skills and expertise in union participation in implementing grassroots democracy regulations, so that union cadres can apply them to practical work, becoming skills in the working process , helping union cadres to fulfill their assigned tasks well, bringing the union movement to develop more and more, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

In order for the Conference to achieve its goals and requirements, Chairwoman of the Ministry's Trade Union Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy requested the reporter Disseminate and update useful and important information and regulations related to the participants of the Conference; at the same time, enhance the exchange of practical experiences, resolve difficulties in the implementation process and share practical lessons on trade union work and the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level.

For the delegates attending the Conference, the Chairman of the Ministry's Trade Union participated in the study fully and seriously, grasped the necessary knowledge to apply in their agencies and units ; actively exchanged and shared information to resolve difficulties related to trade union work and the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level in practice.

*Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union discusses topics at the Conference*

At the Conference, delegates heard comrade Nguyen Van Dong, Permanent Vice President of Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union, present two topics:

Topic 1: Some skills and methods of Union activities in the new situation.

Topic 2: The role of Trade Unions in implementing grassroots democracy in the new situation.

Through the 2024 Trade Union Training Conference, the Ministry of Home Affairs' trade union cadres have acquired more information, knowledge, skills and clearly understood their roles and responsibilities in the new situation. From there, they will innovate the content of activities, be creative in thinking and working methods to make the programs and contents of the trade union organization more practical, suitable to the practical situation and increasingly better fulfill the pioneering role of trade union cadres, continue to contribute to the successful completion of the political tasks of each agency and unit under the Ministry, the tasks of the Ministry and build the Party and the Trade Union organization to always be clean and strong.
