Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice President of the Hanoi Journalists Association Kieu Thanh Hung said that this is one of a series of practical activities to implement the 2024 professional plan and the program of signing a memorandum of understanding on propaganda cooperation between the Hanoi Journalists Association and the Political Department - Border Guard Command.

In particular, this is an activity within the framework of a visit and work in Dien Bien province to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory Day (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024). The delegation included representatives of leaders and reporters from press agencies of Hanoi to promote the tasks and activities of the Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard in the past year.
In particular, focusing on emulation movements, typical models, new factors to thereby honor the soldiers wearing green uniforms on the front line of the Fatherland. At the same time, promoting outstanding activities of Dien Bien province on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory Day.
It is known that in recent times, the Border Guard of Dien Bien province has regularly innovated, improved the quality and effectiveness of professional measures, grasped the internal and external situation; established and successfully destroyed many special projects violating national security, prevented activities taking advantage of ethnicity, religion and transnational drug crimes.

Besides, the Border Guard of Dien Bien province also does a good job of diplomacy in the border area, coordinating in the fight to protect the border, border lines, and landmarks with other countries.
On this occasion, the delegation of the Hanoi Journalists Association visited and learned about the reality at Thanh Luong Border Guard Station and Muong Pon Border Guard Station, Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province.
