According to the statement of Mr. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Organizing Committee of the 32nd SEA Games (CAMSOC), the opening ceremony of the SEA Games will be of Olympic scale. "The opening ceremony must be really spectacular, according to world standards, not just at the regional level," affirmed CAMSOC Secretary General Vath Chamroeun.

According to the script, the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games will feature performances by about 1,000 artists from the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and more than 2,000 athletes.

During the rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games, the Organizing Committee requested that everyone not film or take photos. The decision was made to avoid revealing the image that the host country had been preparing for the past year.

However, according to some leaked images, the opening ceremony of SEA Games 32 consists of 3 parts: "The Glory of Angkor", "Khmer Smile" and "The Future of Khmer".

The sound and light show will end with a song titled "Cambodian Pride" performed by four famous Cambodian artists: Preap Sovath, Khemarak Sereymun, Khum and Ton Chanseyma.

The song "Cambodian Pride" was released on April 10 and quickly became a "fever" on YouTube. As of May 4, the MV of this song has reached more than 60 million views.

Earlier, on May 1, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen highly appreciated producer Galaxy Nawatra and composer Tycoon Leng Navattra. The leader said that the song will help promote the games to the world when Cambodia has waited 64 years to host the number one regional event.

Another highlight of the opening ceremony is the Asian martial arts duel between Bokator Cambodia and Shaolin China. Since March 2023, the SEA Games torch has been on a journey through Southeast Asian countries, namely Manila (Philippines), Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei), Jakarta (Indonesia), Dili (Timor Leste), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand), Yangon and Naypyidaw (Myanmar) and the final destination is the capital Vientiane (Laos) on April 25.

From Laos, the official torch of the 32nd SEA Games will return to the host country Cambodia on April 27. Here, the torch will continue its journey around locations in Cambodia until the official opening day of the 32nd SEA Games at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.

The Vietnamese sports delegation attending the 32nd SEA Games has 1,003 members, including 702 athletes and 189 coaches, competing in 30/36 sports with 447/583 events, striving to be in the top 3 of the Games.

Swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang was honored to be chosen to carry the flag for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games.
