More than 1,600 people trained to collect public opinions on ward arrangement in Bac Tu Liem

On the afternoon of April 19, Bac Tu Liem district held a conference to disseminate and train the implementation of collecting public opinions on the plan to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the area to 1,600 delegates in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of wards, heads of socio- political organizations, local police, secretaries, deputy secretaries of Party cells, Party cell members of residential group cells, group leaders, deputy group leaders, heads of associations and unions in 13 wards.

According to the plan, 13 wards of Bac Tu Liem district will be arranged to establish 5 new wards with the names: Tay Tuu, Phu Dien, Xuan Dinh, Dong Ngac, Thuong Cat.

To successfully implement the major policies of the Party and State, and in the immediate future, the task of collecting public opinions, Secretary of the Bac Tu Liem District Party Committee Luu Ngoc Ha requested that each organization in the district's political system, each cadre and party member need to be clear about ideology and awareness, promote their roles and responsibilities, coordinate closely, and implement synchronously so that collecting public opinions takes place democratically, publicly, in accordance with regulations, on schedule and in substance.

At the conference, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Tu Liem District Nguyen Huu Tuyen thoroughly explained the method of collecting people's opinions on the plan to arrange new administrative units in wards that will be formed in the district; and asked for opinions on the proposed name of the new administrative unit.

Accordingly, the Ward People's Committee established groups to collect people's opinions according to the residential group area; the group leader is the Party cell secretary or the head of the residential group; the group members are representatives of prestigious political-social organizations and people in the residential group. The group leader assigns members to go to households to distribute opinion ballots to voters representing the household or distribute opinion ballots at residential group or area meetings to collect opinions. Completion time is April 21, 2025.

After collecting public opinions, the People's Committees of the wards will synthesize and prepare a report on the results of collecting public opinions in the area and send it to the District People's Committee. The District People's Council will hold a meeting to approve the policy of rearranging and reorganizing the ward administrative units, scheduled for April 24, 2025.
