Giong Trom handed over 15 "Great Solidarity" houses sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense

BDK.VN - On the morning of May 21, 2025, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Hung Nhuong Commune, Giong Trom District held a handover ceremony for 15 "Great Solidarity" houses sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense. Attending the ceremony were Colonel Vo Thanh Son - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Secretary of the District Party Committee - Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in the District, Nguyen Thai Binh.

Implementing the program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025", Hung Nhuong commune was allocated 900 million VND from the funding source of the Ministry of National Defense by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district to support the construction of 15 "Great Unity" houses for households with housing difficulties in the commune. Each house received 60 million VND in support, with a construction area of 32 - ^69m2 ; the cost was 70 - 106 million VND/house. The total construction cost was 1,282 billion VND. Of which, the Ministry of National Defense supported 900 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.

On this occasion, the sponsoring unit and district leaders presented many meaningful souvenirs to the families, as a congratulation and encouragement for their new life.

After the house handover ceremony, the delegates visited and removed the nameplate at the house of Mr. Tran Cong Hau, Hung An Tay hamlet. This is one of the households that received support and the removal of the nameplate symbolizes a new beginning, a more stable and happier life for his family.
