The hospital also received 723 cases of surgical illness, 362 cases of traffic accidents, 84 cases of domestic accidents, 33 cases of fighting and 14 cases of various poisonings; performed emergency surgery on 270 cases, using up 597 units of blood (350ml type). As of the morning of February 15, the hospital still had 1,404 patients being treated, and currently had 4,230 units of blood in storage.

Notably, statistics from the 2 weeks (from December 23 to the 5th day of Tet) showed that this hospital received 635 traffic accident cases, of which only 2 cases involved alcohol consumption. Compared to last year's Tet holiday, the number of traffic accident cases decreased by 15.6%; the number of domestic accidents, fights, and poisonings of all kinds decreased compared to the same period of the previous Tet holiday.

According to information from People's Hospital 115, during the 7-day Tet holiday, the on-duty teams received more than 300 acute stroke patients. Doctors performed interventional treatment and intravenous thrombolysis for 47 cases. Of these, 162 patients were fortunate to recover well and were discharged during the holiday, while 195 stroke patients are still being treated.

The City Children's Hospital said that during the Lunar New Year holiday, it admitted a girl named HTT (5 years old, living in Binh Chanh district) who lost her left hand due to a firecracker falling on the yard after a neighbor set off fireworks. The medical history showed that on the third day of the Lunar New Year, T. was playing in front of her house. The neighbor set off fireworks. After that, the girl picked up a firecracker on the yard. Unfortunately, the firecracker exploded, injuring her left hand. Immediately, her family took her to the City Children's Hospital for emergency treatment.

At the hospital, doctors noted that T.'s left hand was crushed, and the left side of his abdomen had soft tissue damage. In addition, the victim's right thigh was burned black about 3x2cm due to flying firecracker fragments. Immediately, doctors performed emergency surgery to remove the wound on the left side of his abdomen and right thigh. However, because the left hand was crushed, doctors could not suture and restore it, so they had to amputate it.
