This morning (June 6), at the Chu Van An High School exam site (Tay Ho District, Hanoi ), many candidates and their parents were present early to prepare for the exam procedures. At 8:30, the exam site officially opened, allowing candidates to enter the exam room. Many candidates were in a relaxed and confident mood before the official exam day.

Candidates check their registration numbers and look at the exam room map.
This year, more than 100,000 candidates in Hanoi are completing procedures to take the 10th grade entrance exam. This is considered a stressful and competitive exam to gain admission to public high schools in the city.

According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , examination sites must arrange an area for storing candidates' bags and personal belongings at least 25m from the examination room.

At 9:00 a.m., candidates settled into the exam room and listened to a thorough briefing on exam-related regulations, including necessary documents for each exam session, a list of items that cannot be brought into the room, and designated locations for storing personal belongings.

Candidates are given specific instructions on the exam schedule, the time signal, the exam room layout, and how to do the foreign language test. In addition, candidates are also instructed on how to fill in personal information on the multiple-choice answer sheet, including filling in the correct registration number and exam code.

In case of detecting errors on the exam registration form such as name, date of birth, place of birth, etc., the candidate will be supported by the exam supervisor in the process of declaring and adjusting and submitting a request for amendment to the head of the exam site for consideration.

Before the exam, Hanoi prepared 201 official exam sites with more than 4,400 exam rooms, and set up backup exam sites in districts, towns and cities. This system was built to promptly respond to unexpected situations such as bad weather, power outages or other objective factors that could affect the exam process.

Despite having to wait for hours outside the exam site, many parents still patiently waited for their children to complete the procedures.

A female student who sprained her ankle 3 weeks ago and is still unable to walk on her own was carried on her mother's back after completing the procedures.

Minh Thu, a student at Chu Van An Secondary School, registered two wishes: Tran Phu High School and Pham Hong Thai High School. In addition, Minh Thu has also been accepted to a private school, so she feels more comfortable when taking the entrance exam to public grade 10.
Minh Thu shared: "During the exam preparation process, I kept a stable study pace and felt quite confident before this important exam."
