Highly differentiated exam, candidates burst into tears
According to Dan Tri reporter, at the Examination Council of Cau Kieu Secondary School (Phu Nhuan District), the difference was that after nearly 10 minutes of the end of the exam, although the school gate was open, not a single student stepped out of the exam room.
This made the parents waiting for their children extremely worried because the atmosphere was in contrast to the previous two exams.
The first person to leave the exam site, Nguyen Ngoc Thien Y, a student at Tran Huy Lieu Secondary School, said she could not do the geometry test because it was difficult and long. She predicted she would only get about 6-7 points.
The female student assessed that the exam had good differentiation, and she did well on the average questions. After two days of exams, Thien Y anxiously waited for the results because she knew she was not good at science subjects.

Both Hoang Thai Nguyen and Nguyen Hieu An, from Dao Duy Anh Secondary School, said that the test had easy questions mixed with difficult ones. Thai Nguyen had difficulty with question 6 about geometry, and was expected to score 6-7 points. Hieu An had difficulty with question 6 and did not have enough time to do question 7c. The male student was not confident with his high score.
At this test site, most candidates felt the test was not too easy, few were confident of getting 8 points or higher.
In particular, many candidates burst into tears and hugged their loved ones because they could not do the test as they wanted.

Meanwhile, students at the Examination Council at Hoa Lu Secondary School (Thu Duc City) finished the math exam with a fairly stable mindset.
Candidate Duc Hieu said that math was the subject he felt the most pressured with in this year’s 10th grade exam because HCMC often gave very difficult math questions. Not to mention, the aftermath of last year’s math exam made many candidates cry right in front of the exam school gate, making Hieu… already stressed.
However, after this exam, Hieu was quite confident because the test was not as difficult as he imagined. He was not sure how many percent he got right, but Hieu felt that he could get a high score in math.
Hieu assessed that, in general, the test was relatively suitable for students. Some questions for excellent students, such as questions 6 and 7, were more difficult. Hieu was not sure if he got these two questions right, but he felt "sure" about the remaining questions.
At the Dong Da Secondary School exam site in Binh Thanh District, students also had a rather relaxed mood in the final exam of the 10th grade entrance exam. Candidates talked to each other, evaluating that the math test was easier than last year, and that they could easily get a higher score.
“I only expected 5-6 points in math, but most likely with this math test, I can get at least 7 points. The 10th grade exam ended quite easily for me,” Minh Luan, a candidate at this exam council, shared.

At the examination council of Binh An Secondary School (District 8), Nguyen Y Phuong, a student at Phan Dang Luu Secondary School, shared: "I finished everything but was still a bit nervous, because there were a few last questions that I didn't have time to check again."
Taking the exam at the specialized exam site, Hoai An from Lu Gia Secondary School confidently said: "I reviewed a few familiar types so I was quite confident. I hope to get over 9 points.
According to preliminary assessments of candidates, the 2025 math exam was easier than in 2024 because candidates were familiar with the new format, new learning methods, and prepared mentally to accept it.
Luu Y Dung, a student at Tran Boi Co Secondary School, taking the exam at Nguyen Du High School Council, shared: "This year's math test was not too difficult but quite long. I did about 85%, the last part was a bit rushed."

Challenge to get 9-10 points
Dr. Pham Thanh Tung, Head of the Mathematics Department at the DOL Dinh LucEducation System, commented that the exam maintains a familiar structure with 7 sections. Sections 1 to 4 are easy to score points.
"The content is close to the 9th grade curriculum, without any tricks or traps, so students have a solid foundation and can easily get all 4 points," said Dr. Tung.
Two practical problems (5, 6) continue the innovation direction. Problem 7 of the geometry section is divided into 3 clear ideas. In which, he assessed that idea c of problem 7 has good content. Overall, the problem is concise, the language is clear, and the differentiation is reasonable. According to Dr. Pham Thanh Tung's prediction, the score of 9-10 continues to be a challenge because of questions 6 and 7c.
"This year's exam is assessed as good, clear, fair, closely following the current program and practical orientation. It is predicted that the average score will be quite high," commented Dr. Thanh Tung.
