More than 250 staff were trained to improve their capacity in elderly health care.

Recently, the Department of Population and Family Planning of Ca Mau province organized a training course on "Improving capacity in elderly health care" for 253 leaders, population and communication specialists at regional health centers, health stations and commune and ward units (formerly Bac Lieu).

With the goal of equipping legal knowledge, expertise and practical skills to effectively implement health care programs for the elderly (NCT) in the locality. The training course content goes in-depth and focuses on updating important regulations such as: Law on the Elderly , rights and obligations of the elderly, responsibilities of the state and community; Decision 383/QD-TTg of the National Strategy on the Elderly to 2035, vision 2045 along with new points compared to before... In addition, providing basic knowledge about population aging and common diseases in the elderly , care and prevention methods ; Guiding the organization and implementation of health care for the elderly according to Circular 35/2011/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health , in order to standardize the process from the provincial level to the grassroots level . At the same time, exchange and share experiences in implementing the elderly health care program at the grassroots level, discuss difficulties and problems and propose effective solutions for implementation in the coming time .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Tran Le Chieu Bich - Head of the Provincial Department of Population and Family Planning emphasized the role of the elderly in society and the importance of building a comprehensive care system that adapts to the increasingly rapid aging of the population. The training course is not only an opportunity to improve the professional capacity of the staff, but also an opportunity to unify awareness and action in implementing social security policies for the elderly .
