More than 500 young intellectuals and prominent global leaders participated in a talk show with the theme "Intelligent Generation NOW". This is a special opening activity of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City - where young people, young intellectuals and global leaders meet, dialogue and share their vision for a future in the digital age and sustainable development.



More than 500 young intellectuals and prominent global leaders participated in the special opening activity of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Autumn Economic Forum 2025 was attended by:
- Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son.
- Mr. Stephan Mergenthaler - Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
- Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc.
With the accompaniment of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the participation of UNESCO, RMIT Vietnam and CMC Group throughout the program, the Talkshow "Contemporary Smart Generation" brings together prestigious, experienced speakers who are especially knowledgeable about young people, bringing stories, perspectives and messages that can help young people shape themselves in an open development space.
City Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized: Ho Chi Minh City is a major economic, scientific, technological and innovation center of Vietnam. The city is the locomotive to make breakthroughs to help Vietnam develop into a rich and powerful country in the new era. This is an ideal destination for the young generation to freely develop their intelligence and talent to make contributions.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son said: "With great expectations for Ho Chi Minh City's leading role, the Party and State create the most favorable conditions in terms of institutions and decentralization for the city to grow strongly. With faith in the dynamism, creativity and determination of the government and people of Ho Chi Minh City, in which the young generation plays a core role, the Government will continue to accompany Ho Chi Minh City to remove barriers and unleash all resources so that the City can quickly fly high and far in the era of our nation's rise."
Following Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized: The young generation - the current smart generation was born in the digital age, has an open mind, has the ability to access superior technology, has the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to fail to grow and become stronger. This is not only the labor force participating in the transformation but also the center of the transformation; not only the successors but also the companions of the city on the journey to build a civilized, modern and integrated urban area.

Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed: "Ho Chi Minh City is committed to creating the best to maximize the potential of the young generation, through the following three major orientations: Strong investment in digital infrastructure, 5G development, open data and digital platforms to serve innovation; Developing high-quality human resources in cooperation with universities and research centers to train technology experts, AI and data science; Perfecting the Creative Ecosystem, encouraging breakthrough startups, developing creative spaces and testing sandboxes for new models. The goal is to turn Ho Chi Minh City into a regional innovation center - where all young people have the opportunity to learn, experiment and shine".

Ms. Phuong said: "This is an opportunity for young people to speak up, as well as share their opinions with the city. From a business perspective, I really hope that in the near future we will see many changes in policies to support private enterprises to experiment with new business forms."

Ms. Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc - Founder of Gen Zero Project - Youth for Sustainable Development
Ms. Bao Ngoc expressed her wish: "The city will increasingly have pioneering programs to introduce youth education models in new fields such as digital transformation and green transformation so that the city's youth not only understand from a certain perspective but must see the whole picture, be global citizens because your actions today not only contribute to Vietnam but also contribute to the common future of the world."
At the end of the program, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was announced between RMIT University Vietnam and the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City. The cooperation aims at human resource development, strategic research, technology application and promoting the innovation ecosystem, while enhancing the position of Ho Chi Minh City as a regional knowledge-based economic center.
